Hodges Grading & Excavating, LLC was founded in 2025 to bring serious grading and excavation work to homeowners and property owners across southeastern Indiana. The decision to go full-time was backed by more than 12 years of hands-on experience in the industry. That experience shapes every job we take on, from the first site visit to the final grade.

We built this company on a straightforward idea: deliver quality work at a price that makes sense. Too many property owners have been quoted inflated rates for grading, drainage, and excavation work. We keep our pricing fair without cutting corners on the finished product. That balance is what keeps our customers calling us back.

Our services cover a wide range of ground-level needs. We handle driveway installation and restoration, site prep, building pad installation, land leveling, and finish grading. We also install French drains and repair yard drainage problems that cause standing water and erosion. If water is going somewhere it shouldn't, we can redirect it.

Beyond grading and drainage, we offer trenching and excavation, water line work, culvert installation and replacement, stump grinding, bush hogging, brush removal, and light land clearing. We also haul gravel and sand, patch asphalt and concrete, repair and install parking lots, and handle snow removal when the season calls for it. One call covers a lot of ground.

We serve communities across the region, including Batesville, Greensburg, Oldenburg, Sunman, Osgood, Versailles, Shelbyville, Milan, Aurora, Dillsboro, Lawrenceburg, Westport, and Brookville. If your property falls in or around these areas, we can get to you.
